Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) Technology

Setting New Standards

ECA Technology

Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) is a European patented technology and has been under development for over 5 decades. The technology involves the transformation of brine solution into a potent and natural disinfectant and detergent.

The Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) system consist of an electrolysis cell containing two electrodes, a cathode and an anode, separated by a diaphragmatic membrane. ECA process requires simple yet effective inputs: soft water, salt and electricity. Under specific electro-chemical conditions, a direct electric current is applied to the electrodes transforms the salt solution (Sodium Chloride [NaCI] + Water [H2O]) into an activated metastable state, exhibiting elevated chemical reactivity and resulting in the modification of molecular ionic structures of the solution. In the anodic chamber, the continuously supplied salt solution reacts at the anode surface, producing mainly Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) - the active ingredient in MicroKill, and also other reactive oxidants which are released into the bulk fluid Anolyte. The Anolyte, a disinfectant/sanitizer, eliminates 99.999% of most common types of bacteria, viruses (including SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Coronavirus), fungi, and spores.

In the cathodic chamber, Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) is generated, along with other reactive substances (largely antioxidants) and are released into a bulk fluid Catholyte. The Catholyte which is a non-foaming detergent, is an effective solution for all-purpose cleaning.

Characteristics of Electro-Activated Solution

  • Acid Anolyte  is a very strong oxidizing and disinfecting agent and can be used wherever there are no risks of corrosion e.g. descaling. It is also effective against all bacteria, viruses, spores, molds, fungi and algae just like neutral Anolyte;

  • Neutral Anolyte with a neutral pH value, is the commonly used grade of Anolyte as it does not cause corrosion at all. Neutral Anolyte in concentrated form has contact time of less than a second in destroying viruses, bacteria, spores, molds and fungi;

  • Catholyte is a powerful reducing agent, it is alkaline and is an excellent non foaming detergent liquid that can be used as an all purpose cleaner and degreaser. It can also be used in applications where pH correction is required.

What is MicroKill

How it Works

MicroKill is an Electro-Chemically Activated (ECA) Solution. It is a rapid-acting, broad-spectrum antimicrobial, non-alcohol-based bio security disinfectant/sterilant/sanitizer. MicroKill kills most pathogens including COVID-19 on contact by damaging the cell walls or inactivating pathogens by entering and disrupting proteins, lipids, and DNA. It destabilises and elevates the electrical charges, creating energy difference in which microbes cannot survive.

Benefits of MicroKill

Only the best

MicroKill is completely non-toxic to humans, plants, food, and animals, even in high concentrations. No harsh chemicals or fumes: no PPE required

Kills 99.99% of a wide range of dangerous bacteria, viruses, fungi and mold with NO signs of resistance.

The cheapest yet most effective biocide/ disinfectant on the market

MicroKill Applications

Guaranteed Excellence

MicroKill is the most effective disinfectant/ sanitizer & sterilant that can be applied across various industries due to its unique mechanism of biocidal action which is distinct from that of conventional disinfecting agents. It can be applied in Healthcare facilities, Food processing, Water treatment, Agriculture, Tourism & Hospitality, Schools & Offices, Retailing & Warehousing, Residential, Transport and Logistics, etc.
